Doctors of Optometry who are members of the American Optometrist Association provide free eye-exams to uninsured low-income families who would have no other means of obtaining care.
In addition to the counties listed hereon they generally will provide services to individuals residing within 30 miles of a participating optometrist’s office. Currently those offices include the Indiana communities of Akron, Anderson, Angola, Auburn, Aurora, Bedford, Berne, Bloomington, Bluffton, Brownsburg, Carmel, Clinton, Columbus, Connersville, Crown Point, Demotte, Elwood, Evansville, Fishers, Fort Wayne, Franklin, Fremont, Ft Wayne, Greenfield, Greensburg, Greenwood, Highland, Huntington, Indianapolis, Jasper, Jeffersonville, Kendallville, Kokomo, Lafayette, Logansport, Marion, Merrillville, Mishawaka, Mooresville, Mt Juliet, Mt Vernon, Muncie, North Manchester, Nappanee, Nashville, New Albany, New Haven, New Whiteland, North Vernon, Plainfield, Poseyville, Rensselaer, Richmond, Rochester, Rushville, Salem, Seymour, South Bend, Tell City, Terre Haute, Wabash, West Lafayette and Zionsville
