| Detailed Services Description |
NEIRRS is a free 24/7 reading service without comment, providing audio access to printed information for people with visual, physical, learning, or language challenges. We read 15 newspapers including Fort Wayne Journal Gazette and News-Sentinel, over 35 magazines, grocery ads, weekday exercise, short stories, and public service announcements. Ninety-five percent of programming is read locally - we do not switch to outside satellite service.
NEIRRS also offers direct streaming to select facilities that cannot receive radio feed. Call 260-421-1375 and request a receiver application or register for service. SCA radios are loaned at no charge to print-impaired individuals.
